CoinGecko API endpoint

CoinGecko Global Charts API

Returns a time series for one global crypto metric from CoinGecko: total market cap (default), Bitcoin dominance, altcoin market cap or DeFi market cap. Choose a `range` from `24h` to `max` (default `90d`) and cap points per series with `limit` (default 120, max 500). Each point has a timestamp, datetime and value.

How this endpoint behaves

Returns chart series from CoinGecko charts.

Path parameters: none.

Query parameters:

kind: optional chart kind. Default total_market_cap. Allowed values: total_market_cap, bitcoin_dominance, altcoin_market_cap, defi_market_cap.
range: optional chart range. Default 90d. Allowed values: 24h, 7d, 14d, 30d, 90d, 1y, max.
limit: optional points per series, default 120, maximum 500.

Notable response behavior:

Non-max ranges are filtered to the requested trailing window before limit sampling.
Malformed JSON, empty series, and series with no valid points return upstream errors.
