CoinGecko categories API

Lists CoinGecko coin categories, up to `limit` rows (default and max 100), priced in the `vs_currency` you choose. Each row has its rank, id, slug, name, URL, 1h, 24h and 7d percentage changes, market cap, 24h volume and coin count, where CoinGecko shows them.

How this endpoint behaves

Returns category rows from CoinGecko. This endpoint supports the documented vs_currency enum.

Query parameters:

limit optional rows to return, default 100, max 100.
vs_currency optional quote currency. Allowed values: btc, eth, ltc, bch, bnb, eos, xrp, xlm, link, dot, yfi, sol, usd, aed, ars, aud, bdt, bhd, bmd, brl, cad, chf, clp, cny, czk, dkk, eur, gbp, gel, hkd, huf, idr, ils, inr, jpy, krw, kwd, lkr, mmk, mxn, myr, ngn, nok, nzd, php, pkr, pln, rub, sar, sek, sgd, thb, try, twd, uah, vef, vnd, zar, xdr, xag, xau, bits, sats.

Notable response behavior:

Category rows include rank, id, slug, name, URL, 1h/24h/7d percentage changes, market cap, 24h volume, and coin count when present.
Zero parsed rows without an explicit empty-state marker returns an upstream error.
