SofaScore Scheduled Events API

Returns the events (matches) in one category, such as a country, that start on a UTC date, ordered by start time. Get the category `id` from the categories endpoint (or `category_id` from scheduled-tournaments). `date` must be a real calendar date written `YYYY-MM-DD` and is a UTC day; to cover a local day in another timezone, request the neighbouring dates and filter on `start_timestamp`. An empty `events` list is a valid response when the category has no fixtures that day. Returns 404 for an unknown category id.

How this endpoint behaves

Returns the events (matches) in one category, such as a country, that start on a UTC date, ordered by start time. Events use the same shape as live-events, team-events, and round-events.

Query parameters:

category_id: required. Numeric SofaScore category id, taken from the categories endpoint (or category_id from scheduled-tournaments), for example 13 for Brazil football.
date: required. UTC calendar date written YYYY-MM-DD. Impossible dates (2026-02-30), other formats, and extra text are rejected before any upstream request.

Notable response behavior:

date is a UTC day. SofaScore answers a date request with every event whose local day matches in any timezone (roughly the previous evening to the next afternoon UTC); this endpoint keeps only events whose start_timestamp falls inside the requested UTC day, so count matches the event_count totals of scheduled-tournaments. To cover another timezone's local day, request the neighbouring dates and filter on start_timestamp.
An empty events array is a valid response when the category has no fixtures that UTC day.
An unknown category id returns 404.
This returns one category's events, not a whole sport's schedule: for a sport-wide view, list tournaments with scheduled-tournaments and query each category.
