SofaScore API endpoint

SofaScore competitions in a category API

Returns the competitions (unique tournaments) inside one category, most followed first. Each `id` is the competition id the tournament-seasons, standings, tournament-rounds, and round-events endpoints take. Get the category `id` from the categories endpoint. An empty `tournaments` list is a valid response: some categories exist without any competitions. Returns 404 for an unknown category id.

How this endpoint behaves

Returns the competitions (unique tournaments) inside one category, most followed first. Each id is the competition id that the tournament-seasons, standings, tournament-rounds, and round-events endpoints take, so this is the browse path from a country to its leagues and cups.

Query parameters:

id: required. Numeric SofaScore category id, taken from the categories endpoint (for example 13 for Brazil football, 1 for England football).

Notable response behavior:

Competitions are ordered by user_count (SofaScore's follower count, a popularity signal) from highest to lowest, then by name.
An empty tournaments array is a valid response: SofaScore keeps categories that exist without any competition (for example stage-based motorsport categories).
An unknown category id returns 404.
