Slickdeals API endpoint
Returns Slickdeals' small, curated set of "featured" primary-category landing pages (e.g. laptop-deals, tv-deals) -- the discovery endpoint for GET /slickdeals/primary-category's slug parameter. This is a separate taxonomy from GET /slickdeals/categories' 421-entry tag list and from GET /slickdeals/deal's own category/sub_category fields -- Slickdeals maintains multiple parallel category/tag id spaces, not one. Unlike /slickdeals/categories, no single live page enumerates this set; it is maintained as periodically-refreshed reference data.
/slickdeals/primary-categoriesUnlike /slickdeals/categories, this set is maintained as reference data rather than fetched fresh on every call.
Query parameters:
q (optional) — case-insensitive substring filter on slug or name, e.g. laptop.Response includes categories[], count, and source_url. Each category has slug, name, and url.
The full set of 13 slugs, usable as GET /slickdeals/primary-category's slug parameter: 4k-tv-deals, cell-phone-deals, computer-case-deals, computer-deals, dslr-camera-deals, furniture-deals, laptop-deals, monitor-deals, ps4-deals, travel-deals, tv-deals, video-game-deals, xbox-one-deals.
