Discover Cricbuzz teams API

Returns the complete team directory for one Cricbuzz category, with group labels, team IDs, short names, country labels, image IDs, and canonical team profile URLs. The optional q value performs a case-insensitive substring match on team names within the returned category.

How this endpoint behaves

Query parameters

category: optional directory category. Accepted values are international, domestic, league, and women. If omitted, the endpoint uses international.
q: optional case-insensitive substring match over team names in that category. Maximum length is 100 characters.

The response groups teams according to the live directory. The International category currently contains Test Teams and Associate Teams; other categories use the group labels shown by Cricbuzz. Each team includes the upstream team ID and its canonical profile URL, so callers do not have to guess URL slugs. Team membership changes over time; use this endpoint as the discovery source rather than hard-coding IDs or names. The service caches each category for 30 minutes; if a refresh fails, it serves the last good directory with stale: true and the original fetched_at timestamp.
