Cricbuzz auction options API

Returns all filter dropdown values and sort choices embedded in the selected public completed-auction page. Use auction/seasons to discover current tournament and year values; when omitted, tournament and year default to ipl and 2026. Filter and sort values vary by edition and are returned dynamically.

How this endpoint behaves

Query parameters:

tournament: optional identifier from /api/v1/cricbuzz/auction/seasons; current values are ipl, wpl, sa20, hunm, and hunw. Defaults to ipl when both selector parameters are omitted.
year: optional edition for the selected tournament; current ipl values are 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026; wpl values are 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027; sa20=2027, hunm=2026, and hunw=2026. Defaults to 2026 when both selector parameters are omitted. Supply tournament and year together.

Returns the full current Country, Status, Team, Role, Cap, and Sort menus for that completed-auction edition. Values are read from the selected first-party page and can differ across editions. The response preserves the upstream input_type, values, labels, team/country image IDs, and both raw sort fields. Use the returned values with /api/v1/cricbuzz/auction/results; displayed labels are for presentation.

Current IPL 2026 value set:

Country IDs: 96 Afghanistan, 4 Australia, 6 Bangladesh, 26 Canada, 9 England, 8 Hong Kong, China, 2 India, 27 Ireland, 527 Italy, 303 Jersey, 14 Kenya, 161 Namibia, 72 Nepal, 24 Netherlands, 13 New Zealand, 3 Pakistan, 23 Scotland, 190 Singapore, 11 South Africa, 5 Sri Lanka, 384 Thailand, 7 United Arab Emirates, 15 United States of America, 10 West Indies, 12 Zimbabwe.
Status values: Sold, Unsold, Retained, RTM, Drafted, Replacement, Traded, Wild Card.
Team IDs: 58 Chennai Super Kings, 59 Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 61 Delhi Capitals, 62 Mumbai Indians, 63 Kolkata Knight Riders, 64 Rajasthan Royals, 65 Punjab Kings, 255 Sunrisers Hyderabad, 966 Lucknow Super Giants, 971 Gujarat Titans.
Role values: Batter, Bowler, Allrounder (displayed as “All Rounder”), WK-Batter (displayed as “WK Batter”).
Cap values: Capped, Uncapped.
Sort labels: Recent, Featured, Base Price: High to Low, Base Price: Low to High, Final Price: High to Low, Final Price: Low to High. Each option includes the exact value1/value2 pair used by Cricbuzz.

The page also has League & Edition and Currency menus; discover those complete value spaces with /api/v1/cricbuzz/auction/seasons. This route only discovers controls. Filter/sort effects are implemented by /api/v1/cricbuzz/auction/results.
