API Reference
Use Crawlora's CourtListener API endpoints to extract supported public CourtListener data as structured JSON. This documentation covers 3 active endpoints including Browse CourtListener courts, Browse CourtListener judicial people, Search CourtListener opinions. Developers can use these endpoints for monitoring, enrichment, research dashboards, internal data pipelines, and agent-native workflows without maintaining platform-specific scraping code. Each endpoint page documents authentication, request parameters such as q, cURL examples, response examples, response schemas, errors, credit cost, and Playground testing. Send requests to the Crawlora API with an x-api-key header, review usage and plan limits on pricing, and test safe sample requests in Playground before moving the workflow into production.
Choose an endpoint, send an authenticated request with the x-api-key header, and inspect the normalized JSON response. The examples below use the public Crawlora API base URL and the same endpoint catalog used by Playground.

/courtlistener/courtsapiKey1 credit/requestLists CourtListener's anonymous public court directory. Provide court_id to retrieve one court. page is used only for directory browsing and is 1-indexed. The endpoint does not retrieve dockets, opinions, judges, or account data.

/courtlistener/peopleapiKey1 credit/requestLists CourtListener's anonymous public judicial-person directory. Provide person_id to retrieve one public person record. The response contains only public directory and position-summary metadata; sensitive biographical fields are excluded.

/courtlistener/searchapiKey2 credits/requestSearches CourtListener's public opinion-search index by text and returns normalized opinion-result metadata with a cursor for the next page. The endpoint uses CourtListener's anonymous public search data and does not retrieve authenticated opinion detail, dockets, judges, alerts, or account data.
