TikTok API endpoint
Returns TikTok's place (POI) search results for a keyword, unmodified: each row carries `poi_name`, `poi_id`, `poi_type`, `video_count`, `poi_rating`, `poi_distance`, `poi_location`, `lat`/`lng`, `img_url`, `opening_time`, `price_level` and `parent_poi`. Useful for mapping a location or category to the places TikTok knows about, and for seeing how many videos each place carries. `keyword` is required. The page is capped at 10 rows upstream and this route is first-page-only — the returned `cursor` is not a reusable page token.
/tiktok/mobile/search/placeMeasured device-free on the core edge/origin pair: keyword=pizza&count=10 → HTTP 200, 51,251 B,
status_code: 0, poi_info.poi_info with 10 rows (first: Tasty Pizza).
Query parameters:
keyword: required. The place name or category to search for. The bare call returns a 150-byte empty
envelope, so the keyword gates usefulness rather than whether the call succeeds.count: optional. Honoured downward: count=3, 5 and 10 return exactly that many rows. The upstream
caps the page at 10, so count=30 still returns 10 — there is no larger page.Notes:
cursor: 10, has_more: 1, but that value is not a usable page
token: feeding it back (cursor=10) returns an empty page, offset=10 returns an empty page, and page=2 is
ignored and silently re-serves page 1. This endpoint therefore exposes no cursor. Do not build paging on it
until a live capture shows the real paging parameter.[]any) rather than coerced into a fixed struct, so a richer POI object never loses
