StreetEasy Market Indices API

Returns public sale-price and rent index values by dashboard area. The datasets have different historical start dates; missing values are omitted. Defaults to the latest 12 months and limits each request to 36 months.

How this endpoint behaves

MCP tool: streeteasy_market_indices

Returns the public monthly sale-price and rent index values from StreetEasy's Data Dashboard. The source publishes borough-level aggregates for NYC, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. This is a different dataset from /streeteasy/market-data/inventory.

Query parameters

start_month (optional): first month to return, inclusive, in YYYY-MM format. Defaults to the first month in the latest 12 available months.
end_month (optional): last month to return, inclusive, in YYYY-MM format. Defaults to the latest month available.
The range may not exceed 36 months or extend beyond source coverage. The source's latest month is reported in data_through; a six-hour service cache may delay a newly published monthly refresh.
sales_price_index and rent_index are values as published in separate dashboard CSVs. The source series have different historical coverage; a missing field means StreetEasy did not publish that value for that area/month. Do not interpret the values as dollars.
