Panera API endpoint
Returns one menu item's full description, ingredient statement, a full per-serving nutrient panel (richer than GET /panera/menu's calories/caffeine-only surface), its allergen statement, and every selectable size with its own price and calories. item_id may be negative -- GET /panera/menu itself surfaces negative item ids for some items, and they resolve fine here. Returns 404 if Panera publishes no detail page for the given item id at this cafe.
/panera/item-detailThis resolves /panera/menu's Calories/Caffeine-only nutrition limit — the underlying upstream page (Panera's own item detail page) publishes the same 12-value per-serving nutrient breakdown the catering surface does (/panera/catering-menu), not just calories and caffeine.
Query parameters:
cafe_id (required) — Panera cafe id, from /panera/locations, e.g. 601447.item_id (required) — a menu item's item_id, from /panera/menu. May be negative — /panera/menu itself surfaces negative item ids for some items, and they resolve fine here.Response shape:
name, description, ingredient_statement.sizes[] — every selectable size, each with its own item_id, name (e.g. Regular, Large), price, calories, and is_default. Most items have exactly one size.nutrients[] — a full published nutrient panel (calories, calories from fat, fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, total sugars, protein, caffeine). Each entry has name, value, unit.allergens — contains[] and may_contain[], each entry an {id, name} pair. Omitted when Panera publishes no allergen statement for the item.Example response (trimmed, a multi-size item):
