Bonhams API endpoint
Searches and filters Bonhams' auctions. Default status "upcoming" excludes ended auctions, matching bonhams.com's own default; "past" browses Bonhams' full historical auction archive instead.

The default status (upcoming) excludes ended auctions, matching bonhams.com's own "Upcoming Auctions" page default; pass status=past to browse Bonhams' full historical auction archive instead (matching the separate "Auction results" page), or status=all for both.
Query parameters:
q (optional) — free-text search across auction title and department names. Omit to browse without a keyword filter.country (optional) — comma-separated country names, matched against Bonhams' own live country facet (e.g. United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong SAR, China, France, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland). Not a fixed enum — the set of countries changes as auctions rotate; the values above are illustrative examples observed live, not an exhaustive list.category (optional) — comma-separated categories. Allowed values: 20th & 21st Century Art, Asian Art, Books, History & Science, Classic Art, Decorative Arts & Furniture, Handbags, Jewels & Watches, Motoring, Popular Culture, Wine & Whisky.month (optional) — comma-separated month-and-year values in Month YYYY form (e.g. September 2026), matched against Bonhams' own live month facet. Not a fixed enum — with the default upcoming status only currently-scheduled months are valid, but any past month/year is valid when status=past or status=all.auction_type (optional) — comma-separated auction types. Allowed values: ONLINE, PUBLIC, EXHIBITION, OTHER.status (optional, default upcoming) — filters by bidding/completion status. Allowed values: upcoming, past, all.page (optional, default 1).per_page (optional, default 24, max 100).Response includes page, per_page, total (matching auctions across all pages), total_pages, and results[]. Each result carries id, title, slug, url (the public auction detail page), auction_type, auction_status, bidding_status, categories[], departments[], country, region, currency, start_date/end_date/hammer_time (each {datetime, timestamp, timezone}), month, month_and_year, year, lot_count, image_url (one representative thumbnail), and is_auction_ended/is_exhibition flags.
