TacoBell API endpoint
Returns the complete nutrition-facts panel for one Taco Bell US menu item -- fats (total, saturated, trans, poly- and monounsaturated), cholesterol, sodium, potassium, carbohydrates, fiber, sugars including added sugars, protein, and the vitamin and mineral figures -- plus serving size and weight and the item's declared allergens. Values are unrounded as published, in the panel's own units: grams for fats, carbohydrates and protein, milligrams for cholesterol, sodium, potassium, calcium, iron and caffeine, and micrograms for vitamin D. This goes well beyond the calorie count on /taco-bell/menu and /taco-bell/product, which is all the menu pages themselves carry. The full component-by-component ingredient statement is available via include_ingredients; it runs to several kilobytes per item, so it is off by default.
/taco-bell/nutrition/taco-bell/menu and /taco-bell/product carry only a calorie count, because that is all Taco Bell's menu pages themselves publish. The full panel lives on the nutrition label the product page links, and this endpoint resolves that link and reads it, so a caller does not have to make the two hops themselves. label_url on the response records exactly which label the figures came from.
Values are unrounded as published, each in the panel's own unit:
Vitamin A and vitamin C are reported as the label states them. Nutrients an item's label omits are absent from the response rather than reported as zero, so a missing key means "not published", not "none".
allergens is the label's declared "Contains:" statement. A composite item declares one per component, so the same allergen is stated repeatedly upstream; the response de-duplicates it into a single list.
label_name can be more specific than the menu name — the Burrito Supreme's label reads "Burrito Supreme® - Beef", naming the default protein.
Query parameters:
category (required) — category slug from /api/v1/taco-bell/categories, e.g. burritos.product (required) — product slug, e.g. burrito-supreme. Same accepted forms as /taco-bell/product.include_ingredients (optional, default false) — include the full component-by-component ingredient statement. It runs to several kilobytes per item, so it is off by default; allergens is always returned either way.An item Taco Bell publishes no label for returns a 404.
Response includes category, product, label_name, serving_size_unit, serving_weight_grams, nutrition, allergens[], ingredients, label_url, source_url, and fetched_at.
