Reddit API endpoint
Searches Arctic Shift's native subreddit directory by name prefix. Directory metadata is updated infrequently; subscriber counts are archived snapshots and retrieved_on indicates when the source captured the entry. The selectable fields are limited to the verified public directory fields.
/reddit/archive/subreddits/searchQuery parameters:
query (required): subreddit-name prefix, with or without r/.min_subscribers, max_subscribers (optional): archived subscriber-count bounds; each must be non-negative and the minimum cannot exceed the maximum.over_18 (optional): filter by the archived NSFW flag.sort_by (optional): one of created_utc, subscribers, or subreddit; defaults to subscribers.sort (optional): asc or desc; defaults to desc.limit (optional): defaults to 25 and clamps to 100.Notable response behavior: this is Arctic Shift's native archive directory, not a live Reddit subreddit list. The source says directory metadata is updated infrequently. subscribers and over_18 describe the archived record; use retrieved_on to see when Arctic Shift captured it. The endpoint returns only the first page available from the upstream; it does not provide a cursor or total count. A valid prefix with no matches returns 200 with an empty subreddits array. Slow or throttled upstream requests return 503 with Retry-After.
