Kickstarter API endpoint
Returns one Kickstarter campaign's full updates feed: for each update, its number, title, author, whether the author is the creator, publish date, body text, and comment count. creator and slug are the two path segments of the project URL, e.g. lookingglass and musubi for kickstarter.com/projects/lookingglass/musubi.
/kickstarter/updatesQuery parameters:
creator: required. The creator path segment of the project URL, for example lookingglass in kickstarter.com/projects/lookingglass/musubi.slug: required. The project slug path segment of the project URL, for example musubi in kickstarter.com/projects/lookingglass/musubi.Returns one Kickstarter campaign's full updates feed, sourced from the campaign's own /posts page. Kickstarter server-renders every update on that one page — confirmed live 2026-08-20 — so this endpoint needs no further pagination.
Notable response behavior:
number is the update's own sequence number (Update #7 → 7).author_name and is_creator identify who posted the update — is_creator is true for the campaign creator's own posts.published_at is Kickstarter's own displayed date string (e.g. July 10, 2026) — passed through as-is rather than parsed, since the page does not expose a machine-readable timestamp for updates the way it does for comments.body is the update's plain text (HTML stripped).comments_count is the number of comments on that specific update.updates array rather than an error.creator/slug pair returns 404. A page Kickstarter blocks/challenges, or an unparseable response, returns a 503 upstream error.| Field | In the sample |
