Apple App Store List API

Returns ranked App Store apps from an iTunes RSS collection, optionally expanded to full lookup details. `collection` enum: `topfreeapplications`, `toppaidapplications`, `topgrossingapplications`, `topfreeipadapplications`, `toppaidipadapplications`, `topgrossingipadapplications`, `topmacapps`, `topfreemacapps`, `topgrossingmacapps`, `toppaidmacapps`, `newapplications`, `newfreeapplications`, `newpaidapplications`. Of the Mac collections, only `topfreemacapps` currently returns ranked apps — `topmacapps`, `topgrossingmacapps`, and `toppaidmacapps` are accepted but Apple's feed for them is currently empty. There is no separate Games `collection` — combine any collection with `category=6014` (or a Games subgenre ID, e.g. `7012` for Puzzle) to get its Games-only equivalent, e.g. Top Free Games. Returns Apple App Store chart or collection listings.

Query parameters:

collection: optional. Chart collection. Default topfreeapplications. Allowed values: topfreeapplications, toppaidapplications, topgrossingapplications, topfreeipadapplications, toppaidipadapplications, topgrossingipadapplications, topmacapps, topfreemacapps, topgrossingmacapps, toppaidmacapps, newapplications, newfreeapplications, newpaidapplications.
category: optional. App Store genre/category ID to filter the chart, e.g. 6005. 0 (default) means all categories. Allowed values: see the category table below, or fetch them from /appstore/categories.
country: optional. Two-letter storefront country code.
lang: optional. Result language tag.
num: optional. Number of apps to return, 1-200. Default 50.
full_detail: optional. Fetch full app details for each entry when true. Default false.

Of the Mac collections, only topfreemacapps currently returns ranked apps. topmacapps, topgrossingmacapps, and toppaidmacapps are accepted (they are recognized collection names) but Apple's underlying feed for them is currently empty — the response is a valid 200 with an empty list, not an error.

Games charts

There is no separate collection value for Games — Apple's chart feeds don't have one. Instead, combine any collection with category=6014 (or one of the 18 Games subgenre IDs below) to get the Games-only equivalent of that chart, e.g. collection=topfreeapplications&category=6014 for Top Free Games, or category=7012 for Top Free Puzzle Games specifically. This works on every collection value above.
