Structured APIs vs a rebuilt proxy network
Crawlora is built around documented endpoints for supported public platforms, returning normalized JSON. SOAX rebuilt its own site and pricing in 2026 around 'full control over every request, without writing custom scripts' — but it remains, at its core, a residential and mobile proxy network with scraper APIs layered on top, aimed at broad data collection and raw web access.
Managed endpoints vs raw access
If your sources are supported, Crawlora hides proxy routing behind the endpoint so you do not manage IPs, geo tiers, or session lengths. If proxy infrastructure itself is the purchase — city-level targeting, sticky sessions, multiple protocols — SOAX is the stronger category fit.
Developer experience
Crawlora emphasizes endpoint docs, a hosted MCP server, Playground testing, API keys, credit usage, and official SDKs in six languages. SOAX offers proxy products, a proxy checker, and cURL/Python/PHP/C# code snippets, but configuring geo tiers, packages, and session parameters is still on you.
SOAX's rebuilt pricing: Sandbox, Enterprise Monthly, Enterprise Annual
As of September 2026, SOAX no longer publishes flat Builder/Team/Scale/Enterprise monthly plan tiers with bundled credits. Instead it runs three tracks: Sandbox is no-commitment, pay-as-you-go top-up credits (roughly $1 of usage per credit) with no subscription fee; Enterprise Monthly charges a plan fee plus usage billed in credits, banded by geo tier and monthly volume (tier 1 covers the US, UK, Germany, and Canada; tier 3 is cheapest); and Enterprise Annual requires business verification and a 12-month commitment but locks in the lowest Enterprise Monthly band rate from the first GB. Worked example: 20 TB of tier-1 traffic in one Enterprise Monthly billing period costs about 14,250 credits (5 TB at 0.85 + 10 TB at 0.75 + 5 TB at 0.50 credits/GB) — roughly $14,250 at the ~$1/credit reference, before the monthly plan fee. The same 20 TB through tier-3 geos costs about 6,000 credits. Crawlora uses one credit-based rate per documented endpoint call, with no separate bandwidth meter or geo-tier math to run.
Trust and reliability signals
SOAX advertises a 99.95% proxy success rate and 0.55s response time, and lists SOC 2 and ISO 27001 as certifications it is 'in the process of acquiring' rather than already holding. Its proxy locations also explicitly exclude Texas, citing that state's IP-address regulatory landscape. Crawlora measures success per structured endpoint response rather than per raw proxy request, so the two success-rate figures are not directly comparable.
Responsible public web data access
Crawlora is designed for responsible public web data workflows. It should not be used for private or protected data, and no comparison page should be read as a guarantee that every target will succeed. Review provider terms, target-site rules, and your own compliance requirements before production use.
- Use supported endpoints and documented request parameters.
- Treat blocked, challenged, or unusable upstream responses as workflow signals.
- Review Crawlora Terms and each provider's official documentation before launch.
